Meat Potato Meal

You can also cook potato, a nostalgic mother's dish, one of the classics of Turkish cuisine, that will warm you up on cold winter days, plain or with minced meat. If you like a little hot, cayenne pepper goes well with this dish. Bon Appetit!

Ingredients:

For 4 people
🕐 Preparation: 15 min.      🕐 Cooking: 30 min.
Potatoes (Biggish) 2 Qty
Veal Cubes 200 Grams
Dry Onion (Medium size) 1 Qty
Water (Hot) 3 Cup
Butter 2 Tbsp
Carrot ((Optional)) 1 Qty
Garlic (Small) 1 Clove
Liquid Oil (Butter) 1 Tbsp
Tomato Paste 2 Tbsp
Cayenne (Pain) 5 Qty
Salt 2 Tsp
Black Pepper 1 Tsp
Powdered Red Pepper 1 Tsp

Instructions:

  1. Take two tablespoons of oil in the pressure cooker, heat it on medium heat, add medium-sized cubed meats and fry until the color of the meat changes.
  2. Add 4 cups of hot water to the meat and cook for about 15 minutes in the pressure cooker until the meat is tender and its water is absorbed.
  3. Chop the onions finely. Peel the potatoes and carrots and cut them into large cubes.
  4. Add the butter to the meats that absorb the water and add the onions, carrots and peeled and crushed garlic first and fry them. Add the tomato paste and fry for a few more minutes on low heat without burning it.
  5. Add the potatoes to your meal and continue to fry them together for a few minutes. If you like it hot, you can add a couple of small cayenne peppers at this stage. Finally, add the hot water and spices.
  6. Turn off your pressure cooker (without pressure or on low setting) and cook for 5-10 minutes, checking from time to time, until the vegetables are soft and your food is thick. Be careful that the potatoes are not too soft or fall apart.
  7. After resting your cooked food for five to ten minutes, serve it hot. Enjoy your meal !
  8. Note: You can serve this dish with bulgur pilaf with vegetables and yogurt or mixed pickles.
