Kumru Sandwich (Cold) Recipe
The original İzmir Kumru is a special flavor for the Aegean region with a geographical indication registered, prepared by adding İzmir Tulum Cheese, tomato and pepper to the Kumru Bread and served cold. It takes its name from a special sandwich bread made with chickpea yeast, which is called "kumru bread" because it resembles the body of a dove bird with its wide middle part and tapering towards the ends. Bon Appetit!
