Homemade Güllaç Yufka

Güllaç; A traditional Ramadan dessert that has survived from the Ottoman Palace Cuisine. Until the mid-1400s, people in the Ottoman Empire stored phyllo dough made from corn starch to store the starch, and after the dough dried, they would soak it with milk and sugar and consume it. Over time, rose water is added to this mixture, resulting in a dessert called Güllü Aş, which becomes Güllaç. You can also try this legendary taste at home at low cost. Enjoy your meal!

Steps:

  1. Take the starch in a deep bowl. Add 2 cups of water at room temperature near the festival. Beat thoroughly with whisk until there is no cool. Add flour and continue to whisk and make a slurry without a rude boza.
