Wash the lentils several times with plenty of water and drain.
Place it in a suitable pot, add enough hot water and salt to cover it by 2 fingers, and cook over low heat until it softens. If it does not absorb the water and soften, add 1/2 cup of hot water and cook it in a controlled manner.
Note: Lentils may sink to the bottom while cooking. Therefore, you can prevent it from sticking to the bottom by stirring it frequently while cooking.
While the lentils are hot, blend them with a hand blender to obtain a smooth consistency. It should have the consistency of a slightly fluid and soft dough.
Place this dough on a glass baking tray before it cools down too much and smooth the top. In order for the dough to come out of the mold easily, first lightly wet the glass bowl with water or place baking paper on it.
When it reaches room temperature, put the lentil mold in the refrigerator and let it rest for 2-3 hours.
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees up and down.
Transfer the solidified lentil mold to a tray by turning it upside down. Slice it into slices about 0.5 cm wide.
Place the lentil slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Pour the red pepper powder over them using a small wire strainer and put them in the oven.
Bake for about 30-35 minutes and remove from the oven when it turns pink. When it cools down, you can put it in a jar and keep it for 5-6 days.
You can consume these protein crackers as a simple snack or make them more cheerful with a dipping sauce. For the sauce, first grind the peanuts and add garlic, strained yoghurt and mayonnaise. Pull thoroughly until it becomes smooth. You can add any spices and fresh herbs you want to this sauce according to your taste. Enjoy your meal!
