Tabbouleh salad, also known as taboule, tabuli or tabbule, is an indispensable taste of Levanter cuisine and Lebanese cuisine, created by blending fine bulgur, tomato, parsley and fresh mint. It is also frequently used in bowl plates. We tried the tabule salad, which is both very satisfying and very practical, with unprocessed brown bulgur. Enjoy your meal!
Rinse the fine brown bulgur wheat and place it in a deep bowl. Add salt and pepper and mix.
Pour enough hot water (or broth) over it to cover it by 2 fingers, cover it and leave it to rest to swell.
On the other hand, chop the spring onions and greens very finely. Peel the tomatoes, remove the seeds and juicy parts, and cut them into cubes the size of backgammon dice.
Put all the ingredients in a deep salad bowl and mix by turning them upside down. Add lemon, pomegranate syrup and olive oil in a controlled manner according to your taste. Let this mixture you prepared rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Serve your cooled salad cold by decorating it with pomegranate seeds. Enjoy your meal!
Recommendation note: You can serve falafel, the legendary taste of Lebanese cuisine, with this original tabule salad. It will also be a harmonious duo in your vegetarian bowl(s).
