Mosakka is actually the name of a cooking method, not a meal. In Turkish cuisine, the meals where vegetables and minced mortar are cooked together are called MUSAKKA. The most well -known Eggplant Musakka recipe can also try with pumpkin. Enjoy your meal!
Wash and peel the zucchini with a variegated or serrated peeler. Chop into rings about 0.5 cm thick. (do not salt as it will water)
Peel and chop the onion and garlic into cubes. If you are going to use tomato instead of tomato paste, peel and grate the tomato.
In a common pan, first take oil and fry the zucchini lightly and remove them on a paper towel. In the same pan, take the butter and fry the onion and garlic until they turn pink. Finely chop the peppers and add them, turn them a couple of turns.
Add the minced meat to the roasted onions and garlic and fry it. If you add half a tea glass of hot water at this stage, the ground beef will be easily crushed.
When the minced meat is drained, add the tomato paste and turn it until the smell comes out. If you are going to add tomatoes, add the grated tomatoes to the mortar and fry. Add salt, pepper and cumin, a finely chopped pinch of dill.
Separate half of the food mixture and place the fried zucchini in the pot. Spread the remaining minced meat on the zucchini. Add two glasses of hot water from the side of the pot.
Garnish the dish with sliced tomatoes and green peppers and close the lid. Cook for 15 minutes on low heat. Do not mix. Take it off the heat and let it rest for half an hour and serve warm. Enjoy your meal!
