Quince Dessert

Quince, which is indispensable for winter tables, is not only very tasty, but also makes important contributions to our health and beauty as a store of vitamins and minerals. The calorie of quince, which has many benefits, is just as low. You can flavor it with very light sugar and control your sweet crisis with this fruit dessert. Bon Appetit!

Ingredients:

Ingredients for Meal:
Quince (Medium size) 2   Qty
Granulated Sugar 4   Tbsp
Water 1   Cup
Cherry Juice (Optional) 1   Cup
Cinnamon Sticks 1   Qty
Clove 5   Qty
Lemon Juice 2   Qty
Ingredients for Service:
Clotted Cream 100   Grams
Pistachios (Dust) 1   Tbsp

Steps:

  1. Wash the quinces in plenty of water. Put plenty of water in a deep bowl and squeeze half a lemon.
  2. Cut the peeled quince crosswise and clean the hard core parts in the middle. Separate the shells and seeds to be added during the cooking stage to give consistency and color. Take the peeled quince in water with lemon.
  3. Place the quince peels neatly on the bottom of a rice cooker and arrange the quinces with the insides facing up.
  4. Divide the powdered sugar into the hollow parts of the quinces.
  5. Sprinkle the quince seeds in the spaces in between.
  6. Divide the cinnamon stick into several pieces with your hands and place them in between with 3-4 dry cloves.
  7. Slowly add 2 cups of hot water from the side of the pot. You can add a glass of cherry juice to get a darker color. Regular water should be one glass if you add cherry juice.
  8. Add the juice of half a lemon to the pot, put it on the fire and close the lid.
  9. Bake for about 35-40 minutes until the quinces are soft.
  10. Let it rest without opening the lid of the pot until it cools down for brewing.
  11. Distribute the cream on the cores of the quinces you bought on the serving plate. Garnish with powdered pistachios if you wish.
  12. Note: You can bake your dessert on the grill setting in the last 10 minutes of the cooking time. Bon Appetit!
