Shepherd's Salad With Flaxseed

The main feature of salads in Mediterranean cuisine is the use of various vegetables, citrus fruits and oil seeds. These flavors are complemented by extra virgin olive oil. Shepherd's salad, which is a great accompaniment, turns into a health recipe with flaxseed. Enjoy your meal!

Ingredients:

For 4 people

For the Salad:
Flaxseed 2 Tbsp Satın al
Tomato 3 Qty
Green Pointed Pepper (Or Village Pepper) 3 Qty
Cucumber 2 Qty
Salt 1 Tsp
Parsley 1/2 Bunch
Fresh Coriander 1/2 Bunch
For the Sauce:
Olive Oil 3 Tbsp
Pomegranate Syrup 1 Tsp (large)
Fine Salt 1 Tsp
Lemon Juice 1 Tbsp
Grain Black Pepper (Freshly Ground) 1 Tsp

Instructions:

  1. Wash tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. Cut the tomatoes in half, cut into half rings
  2. Peel the onion and cut it in half. Chop piyaz as thick as a knife blade. If you are going to use normal onions instead of white ones, rub them gently with a teaspoon of salt without disturbing their form and rinse with water.
  3. Peel the cucumbers, cut them in half and finely chop them.
  4. Wash the peppers and cut them in half. Clean the seeds and chop finely.
  5. Separate half the parsley and coriander and finely chop the leaves.
  6. Take all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix.
  7. For the sauce, whisk the olive oil, lemon juice, a teaspoon of pomegranate syrup, salt and pepper in a bowl and make it homogeneous.
  8. Add the prepared sauce to the vegetables and mix well. Add a teaspoon of flaxseed and mix for a turn.
  9. Take your salad on a serving plate and sprinkle the remaining flax seeds on it. Serve garnished with fresh coriander and parsley leaves. Enjoy your meal!
