Ginger Flour Soup

Ingredients:

For 4 people

For the Soup:
Flour 4 Tbsp
Butter 2 Tbsp
Liquid Oil 1 Tbsp
Ginger (Fresh) 20 Grams
Meat Broth (Or Water) 5 Cup
Garlic 1 Clove
Tomato Paste 1 Tbsp
Hot Pepper Sauce 1 Tsp (large)
For the meal:
Salt 2 Tsp
Black Pepper 1 Tsp
Granulated Sugar 1 Tsp

Instructions:

  1. Scrape off the skin of the fresh ginger and grate it on the fine part of the grater.
  2. In a deep pan, first heat the oil and then the butter, turn the grated garlic and grated ginger a few turns and add the flour.
  3. Cook the flour on medium heat, stirring constantly, until it turns pink. Add salt and pepper.
  4. When the flour is roasted, add the tomato paste and turn it together for 1-2 minutes. Add the hot broth or water to the soup, stirring little by little. Stir with a wire whisk until the soup boils. Lower the bottom of the soup that starts to boil and cook together for another 10 minutes.
  5. Adjust the consistency according to your taste by adding hot water to your cooked soup. Serve hot with finely chopped dill, lemon, toasted bread and grated cheddar if you wish. If you prefer a smooth consistency, you can pass it through a blender. Enjoy your meal!
