Hasanpasa Meatballs

Ingredients:

For 6 people

For the Meatball Mortar:
Minced Meat (Medium Fat) 500 Grams
Egg 1 Qty
Parsley 1 Pinch
Dry Onion (Planed) 1 Qty

Chili Pepper 1 Tsp
Cumin 1 Tsp
Salt 1 Tsp
For the Mashed Potatoes:
Potatoes (Boiled) 4 Qty
Butter 1 Tbsp
Milk 1 Half Cup
Salt 1/2 Tsp
Nutmeg Grated 1 Qty
For the Tomato Sauce:
Tomato Paste 2 Tbsp
Water (Hot) 1 Cup
Olive Oil 2 Tbsp
For the Over:
Kashar (Cheddar) (Planed) 1 Cup

Instructions:

  1. For the preliminary preparation, chop the potatoes coarsely, add enough water to cover them by two fingers and boil them until they soften and absorb the water. Add a teaspoon of salt while boiling.
  2. Take the medium fat ground beef, which has been ground twice, into the kneading bowl. Grate the onion and garlic and add to the minced meat after squeezing the bitter juice.
  3. Wet the inside of the stale bread and crumble it. Add eggs and spices, bread and finely chopped parsley to the meatballs and knead for 10 minutes.
  4. Form a bowl by breaking off egg-sized pieces from the kneaded meatballs and making a hollow in the middle. Take the meatballs on a greased baking tray and bake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
  5. Add milk to boiled potatoes and cook with milk for five minutes on low heat. Add the butter, salt, pepper and nutmeg and mash well and make a puree.
  6. Divide the puree in the middle of the bowl meatballs you bought from the oven. On the other hand, take the tomato paste in a sauce pan, saute it in butter, melt it with 1 glass of hot water, add salt. Pour the cooked sauce over the meatballs.
  7. 10 minutes before serving, place the grated cheddar cheese on the meatballs and put them in the oven at 180 degrees on the upper grill setting, take them out when the cheddar melts and serve hot without waiting. Bon Appetit!
  8. Note: You can serve your meatballs by garnishing them with finely chopped parsley.
